Does your water taste or smell funny?
1/23/2024
Some of our citizens are experiencing an earthy taste in their water or a not so pleasant odor. This is caused by thermal stratification, commonly known as a lake turnover. This is common and happens usually in late summer. Thermal Stratification is when the colder water on the bottom of the lakes begins to rise and the warmer waters on the top of the lakes begin to sink. We want to assure our citizens that the water is continously being tested and has meet every State standard for safe drinking. The Town of Grover and the City of Kings Mountain will continue to flush in order to eliminate the odor and improve the taste.
